You don't need the conversion, to get the American CB channels in 10 Meter mode set band switch to high then set band selected switch to E - band that's it you got all the American CB channels AM and FM.

Excellent video John :) those Realistic TRC 465 great radio also like 451, 453 too also my one Cousin Terry hed had 451 one shock I showed him Squelch Control pull knob for Noise Blanker switch he did know about ever and said help hearing mobile setups better! Yes lots those Realistic radios put 3 to 4 watts Am , Sideband 12 to 20 and lots modulation on Stock microphone over 100% ! My Uniden Grant XL put 3 to 4 watts on Am , Sideband 12 to 22 and modulation loud too ! Realistic TRC 485 am/ sideband radio are super too and I have but needed fix up!

Question. When you are calling CQ, what does "151" mean and does this need to be on Ch. 38? It does sound like side band.

Hey john has your analyzer ever told you your antenna eas better or worse than what an swr meter tells you ? I havent had opportunity to use or own one but have had several swr meters some appea.r more accurate some have shown a noteable rise when three others dont

I tuned a dipole antenna I made back around 2008 with 12G copper wire I got from Lowe's using the SWR meter. I checked the SWR on Ch 1 and on Ch 40 and kept checking and trimming until it was around the same on Ch 1 and Ch 40. I ended up with a 1.1 match between 1-40 and 1.2-.1.3 going 10 channels each way.

The coax becomes the radiator this why they suggested 50ft min But high RF into other devices and loss of signal 1/2 mi down road to a Mobil. Talked zero DX on this antenna also on Sideband RF goes back into radio distorting audio . But it's ok for am test antenna .

That's area i'm looking for on my 4element i called them mower junkie channels for lower SWR's like 35,37,38,40, 27.415's 27.425's,27.515's on up LSB 27.555MHZS.

did get you get chance saw my President Uniden Grant video this radio i hope my rm italys not burn out it just making 5a fuse glow on front atx board computer power supply i have 3 of them computer power supplys i blew 3 5 amp fuses not inside the amp them yesterday it only does when talk in the mic am on cobra 139 and grant. it hads with my sliver eagle. yesterday i getting contacts to southeast tx northern LA with cobra 139 and President Uniden Grant.
